Problem
Zandra Rhodes' unique studio environment, rich in creative history and artistic details, was inaccessible to broader audiences due to physical constraints. There was a need for an innovative way to digitally archive and share this important cultural space, enabling global audiences to authentically experience Zandra’s creative environment and gain meaningful insights into her artistic processes, regardless of geographic limitations.
Solution
Digital Desks for Zandra Rhodes is an archival project focused on documenting Zandra's studio space. The project captures detailed 3D scans of key areas within her studio, showcasing her creative process. These scans are available on the website and in augmented reality, allowing users to explore and experience the scale and details of Zandra’s studio from their own homes.
Digital Desks is an innovative archival exhibition project designed to provide universal access to the exhibition, leveraging augmented reality (AR) to seamlessly integrate the experience into users' real-world environments. Additionally, users can explore a range of high-resolution 3D models of the artists' workspaces on their smartphones or laptops. This comprehensive collection authentically captures artists' workspaces, offering unfiltered insights into their creative processes and facilitating a profound exploration of their professional environments.
